Plan 2021

BMT 2021 Architectural project and layout

The commissioned project from Progecta srl to X-studio_Architettura for the first fair in Italy after the pandemic, in compliance with all the current precautionary measures of the law, it could only be based on the concept of rebirth and re-explosion of life understood in all its forms (hopefully not those of viruses !), as well as that of greater fluidity and widening of movement spaces.

Hence the design of the various exhibition stands and of the connecting paths between them: two star explosions inside pavilions 5 and 6, variable rotations of the exhibition structures of various shapes and sizes of the BMT Open Air, a single design apparently chaotic but with more than rigorous geometry, designed exclusively for the most effective emotional perceptual communication and the maintenance of the safety spaces required by current regulations.

An entrance pavilion inclined to frame the external exhibition in perspective to enhance its perception, welcomes visitors in a large area shaded by a deep canopy and filters the entrances with a series of electronic turnstiles assisted by a visitor assistance desk.

Immediately behind the entrance pavilion, but reachable after passing through pavilion 6, BMT Open Air, the new outdoor exhibition area for this 2021 edition, is characterized by a series of stands of various shapes and sizes connected by sheets micro-perforated shading and carpets of irregular geometry, arranged according to different positions along the axis of connection between the entrance and the Mediterranean theater, in the area in front of pavilions 5 and 6 and between 4 and 5, together with two conference areas , the Procida Room and the Mediterranean Arena, an inclined lenticular ellipsoid with seats arranged in a random manner.

The color of the communication inside the event and of the various services will be distinguished between these and separately unitary, but the color will be above all that of the various exhibitors and their graphic image, while the exhibition structures will be characterized by the white surfaces and the bright aluminum of the structural profiles.
